The Messenger

The Messenger shall arrive,
Who is preparing the way,
As He comes for to revive,
For an eternity and to say.

The Lord whom you seek,
Shall come to the church;
While an angel will speak,
Proclaim what you search.

And so as you will delight,
When He comes to earth;
With the power and might,
Of God in all of His worth.

Like a refiner or purified fire,
In purging the silver and gold;
He will judge you on desire,
In the sins that you still hold.

The Messenger is the Messiah,
Who is the only begotten Son;
A host of angels sing hosanna,
End what the Father had begun.
