 When My Time Comes

When My Time Comes

I'm finally standing here
At the throne of God
My arms stretched out wide
I'm standing here in awe

To see His crown of glory
Resting on His head
To witness the great wedding
Of the wine and bread

The light shone all around me
He smiled at me and said
Welcome home my son
I've raised you from the dead

The angels stood by singing
Hymns of praise and joy
With smiles on their faces
I heard my Savior's voice

I turned to look behind me
And with tears in my eyes
Standing right before me
Is my Savior Jesus Christ

I've never felt this feeling
As words cannot describe
He reaches out to hug me
It's then I start to cry

He wipes away my tears
And takes me by the hand
“Behold what's all around you
You've reached the Promised Land”

I join the angels Choir
We sing to Him our songs
We praise Him with our singing
As others join along

I'm standing in the presence
Of God almighty Father
With Jesus who's my Savior
Who cleansed me with the water

Then out of nowhere
The sky becomes so bright
I see the Holy Spirit
Who is our guiding light

And standing there before me
I see the Trinity
To think that I'll be with them
For all eternity
