Breakdown

A staggery sort of stumble
Out from a clinging bed
Hot black black black coffee
To appease a thumping head
Last week's blue jeans
A shirt that's nearly clean
And out into that world
Of the newly single scene.

I think the booze
Is now a lot stronger
Hangovers seem to last
Just a little longer
And I don't remember
In those years gone by
Just a few drinks
Could make me cry

Hey look out world
Are you ready yet for me
Clear a path to the bar
I'm one of the newly free
Hey I'm not crying girl
At least not bitter tears
I'll go and get them in
Best time I've had for years

A staggery sort of stumble
Out from a clinging bed
Hot black black black coffee
To appease a thumping head
Last week's blue jeans
A shirt that's nearly clean
And out into that world
Of the newly single scene.
