An Expert Builder
Of my years in the Air Force,
While learning how to build;
In planning to stay the course,
Wood and metal were milled.
On starting at the foundation,
Working from the cornerstone;
Keep striving for the duration,
Ensuring construction is hone.
God made me an expert builder,
Ensuring it is structurally sound;
There is no room for a blunder,
To come crashing to the ground.
Another foundation I build now,
Being spiritually sound as I check;
Since He has given the know-how,
So each poem will meet the spec.
For the foundation is His Word,
With building my poetry upon;
A base from the Scriptures heard,
Through how His plan was drawn.
