 The Bet

The Bet

I saw you standing over there
I had to know your name
You looked at me and smiled at me
Igniting passions flame

Your beauty is immeasurable
If only you would know
That in my dreams I saw your face
Then struck by Cupid's bow

My courage went away from me
I froze right in my place
That is when you came to me
I realized it was fate

You spoke to me these special words
I never will forget
You said that you must marry me
That you had lost the bet

So here we are ten years have passed
And we're still man and wife
We own our home and have three kids
It's such an awesome life

Our love is stronger than before
The passion it's still there
It's like the day that we first met
We have so much to share

I never knew a love like this
Could be my very own
The way you kiss me on the lips
It warms me to the bone

So honey I must tell you now
Remember how we met
Well on that day you didn't lose
You really won the bet
