Love the Person; Hate the Sin
Love the Person; Hate the Sin
I am not perfect
I sin everyday
I sin by my thoughts
And the things that I say
So I can't sit and judge
That's not my job to do
My job is to love
All people including you
But I just cannot sit
And watch things go on by
As the world keeps sinning
Believing Satan's lies
You need to read the Scriptures
They tell you how to live
Repent of your sins
And Christ He will forgive
A sin is a sin
No matter what it is
You tell a little lie
It's as bad as Judas' kiss
Your lifestyle's just as bad
As one taking another's life
Quit living in the dark
You need to see the light
I love the other person
It's the sin that I hate
Turn back from you feelings
Before it gets too late
I know that you can do it
You just need God's help
But if you do not seek it
Your destiny is Hell
What would Jesus do
He'd shower you with love
There's nothing else you'll need
He's more than enough
But He would speak the truth
He would never wait
He'd tell you that He loves you
It's your sin that He hates
