I am just a Poet
I painted a picture,
But no one understood.
Nobody knew,
What it was all about.
So I wrote a song,
In hopes they would comprehend.
I singed that song,
To a fastidious crowd.
I played the guitar,
As I singed that song.
They shook their heads,
As they walked away.
Then, I wrote a poem,
In hopes they would return.
They stopped and listened.
It was then that they perceived,
The message I tried to convey.
They told their friends,
And their friends told a friend.
It is then that I knew.
I am just a poet,
With a song and a vision.
