Better To Be Wise
Once I saw what people thought,
Thinking they were really wise;
But after seeing what they sought,
It was just foolishness in disguise.
In God was not where their trust,
In helping them through this life;
But rather filled with earthly lust,
That was corrupted with the strife.
Wisdom from God shows the way,
To be wise of a different wealth;
For the decisions made every day,
Strengthens your spiritual health.
Soft spoken wisdom makes more sense,
Than shouting at a crowd of fools;
Or if you are trying to build a fence,
While using all of the wrong tools.
The most powerful weapon on earth,
Is wisdom from God as you employ;
But one can cause to loose its worth,
With a slip of the tongue can destroy.
