A Helping Hand
You are part of the Spirit,
So if one is trapped in sin;
In the power you inherit,
To help them cleanse within.
Leading them from the path,
Where they have gone astray;
To spare them from the wrath,
By them confess as they pray.
But beware of a tempting lure,
In catching you in the same snare;
And drag you in through the door,
The place Satan has his lair.
You obey the Law of Christ,
When offering a helping hand;
Remember what was sacrificed,
To keep you from sinking sand.
So do your work very well,
To have something to be proud;
Picking up another that fell,
As you praise the Lord aloud.
