 The Unfairness Of Angels

Antartic Nights

Antartic sunsets bring another days surprise
As another Artic winter longs for the sunrise
Both the moon and the sun hover in the skies
A beautiful silence in disguise

End of the Earth, bottom of the globe
Seeking solace as the Ozone erodes
The glimmering of the sun on the cold Artic  sea
Behind white silhouetted mountains for all to see

In a past life I know I was here. I swear
Maybe I was a lonesome wandering polar bear?
When I close my eyes I feel myself there
The Artic winds blowing through my white hair

Antartic nights are also my day
My peace of mind so far away
Tranquillity surrounds my beautiful daydream
Of an Artic night I've never seen.
