''You Too?''

Glittering daggers in shadowed hallway …
there is no denying, three and twenty wounds,
crimson blood dripping, dripping…
on to the snow white tunic…
as he lays dying.

The golden drums and silver trumpets will sound no more…
for Caesar lays dead at the hands of trusted friends before.

Greed, treachery, conspiracy, assassins and death
ruled the day…
Rome is on the brink of anarchy, nothing can
keep it at bay.

Now two millenniums have perished,
yet Brutus
lives in infamy.

"You too!...
Brutus?"

Beware!
For he who seeks the ways of Caesar…
may find Brutus!
