Peace of Mind

Beware of strangers, and so called friends too,
who want to advise you on what to do.
Naysayers, do-gooders, smarter-than-you’ers,
finger pointers, robe-wears too.

Who got you this fare?
You did! So see your smarter
than they’ve given you credit for.

You don’t have to dance to
someone else’s tune.
You can blow your own
horn, are howl at the man
in the moon.

It’s your life, you live it!
Others opinions and advice,
just say…
thank you that’s very nice.

Do what you think is right for you,
and never mind what other tell you to do.

If you need advice, you can ask.
What you want from it keep in mind,
and what you don’t leave behind.

Being your own person…
Now that real peace of mind!
