The New Life
As a follower of the Lord,
Who is honored and adored;
No more journey in the dark,
No matter where I embark.
For I gave up stubborn ways,
No longer ignorant in a daze;
Not missing out on my life,
With a lot of toils and strife.
I have feelings what is right,
With wisdom for my insight;
Since I gave up having greed,
Now sowing a spiritual seed.
I gave up all indecent things,
That lustful temptation brings;
All from what Jesus had taught,
What you should do and what not.
For I have a new life from God,
Showed me where I am flawed;
A new person that He has made,
Through the price that Christ had paid.
