Prayer of Plea
Protect me O Lord I pray,
Help me so I do not stray;
Lust tries to light the fires,
Within hidden desires.
For Satan looks for a way,
In luring me every day;
Enticing me of treasure,
Of sinful earthly pleasure.
Only You are my Lord,
The one I have adored;
Providing with all things,
That your compassion brings.
You O Lord are my choice,
The reason why I rejoice;
That is why my heart is glad,
With You I can not be sad.
I know my future is bright,
In the dark shines your light;
And after this life is done,
Eternal life my soul has won.
