Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Fruitless
If life is a bowl of cherries,
why are we stuck in the pits,
trying to get out?
If life is a like a highway,
why are we always taking detours,
that lead us so far astray?
If life's greatest riches are on the other
side of the rainbow,
why do we seek it everywhere,
but where we should look?
I shall tell you why these things are so,
because the true treasure,
the source of all joy is Jesus,
and we don't seek Him.
