From the Heart Through the Pen

What She Said

I'm laughing on the outside
Opposite on the in
She's telling me that she feels
As if I think I'm better than her
And she's gotta be right
Something about a women's intuition
But she couldn't be any further from the truth
She claims to be reading what I wrote
But does she listen to them
Does she even remember my quote
I thought she was one of the few
Who it was me she could comprehend
But wrong I was one mo gain
So how do I break it down
I'm a unique far from perfect man
Though at times I appear cocky
It's just me being confident
I've weathered so many storms
Been through a gazillion trials and tribulations
She says I'm different now than I was back then
But when your heart's just about been poisoned
You tend to be wary and use every caution
I apologize nothing could happen between us
She opts to disagree
But sorry sweet lady the timing is just off
My intuition is the only one I trust
Don't get me wrong I love her to no end
Travel the world to save her life
But I'll only call her a friend and not my wife
You might be able to tell
She struck a sensitive subject
And I might be writing from hurt
How can I feel worthy with all my imperfections
When I thought I was worthy I got burnt
It's not about if she's hot
Cause we can tell by all the hits on her site
Who is wrong and who is right
In these chapters she wants to be written
Be careful what you ask for
Because this way you may not like
But real talk is what I do
Real talk is who I am
And finally here's an entry for you baby
