You Once Told Me (A Women's Perspective)
You Once Told Me (A Women's Perspective)
You once told me that you loved me
I heard it from your mouth
But when I looked into your eyes
I began to have my doubts
I tried my best to believe you
Despite what I had heard
But after what you put me through
I see love was absurd
You once showed me some affection
It wasn't hard to do
I would give you my attention
My love for you was true
I once told you all my secrets
That no one else did know
It's something now that I regret
They now are your sideshow
You once told me I was special
That no one could compare
That you would always be faithfull
That you would always care
But you became Jekyll and Hyde
I didn't know who you were
But now I see between the lines
And leaving you's my cure
