If we could look at ourselves from the outside…
What would our eyes behold?
Would we see the person we would wish too be…
Or just someone who is cold?
Would we understand the fire inside…
Or the fire that no longer glows?
Looking from the outside…
It's so very hard to know.
Always we judge by cover,
Not bothering to look inside.
No one now has left the strength…
To search for what we hide.
So cast your feint eyes wider…
Search deep for who we are.
Judging all man as one beast…
Will be the saddest thing by far.
