The Purpose of You

Your body is
65% oxygen
18% carbon
10% hydrogen
3% nitrogen
1.5% Calcium

Several other chemicals and minerals
Make up the remaining 2.5%

One could buy these elements
Order them from a factory someplace
And do so
For about one dollar and seventy five cents
Give or take a bit for inflation
That is

Broken down to its basic elements
You are worth this
And no more

You are however
A one-of-a kind
A masterpiece of God's creation
The one and only
You

There was none other
Before you
The will be no other
After you are gone

You can not be
Replaced

Everything on this Earth
Has a purpose
Everything has value

There are times
When all of us feel worthless
All of us
Feel broken
Worth only as much
As these chemicals
That I listed before

Still
God himself chose to put these things together
For a reason

It is up to each of us
To try our best to discover
Just what this purpose
Is
Before once again
To these basic elements
We do return

Each moment of life is precious
A gift that can not be replaced

(To Matha V. - a friend who can never be replaced)
