Our Own Desires
If guided by the Spirit,
You know what you inherit;
And not obey desires,
Of your internal fires.
Lust is a natural foe,
That will block the crimson flow;
No matter what the disguise,
The Spirit sees with its eyes.
Enticement will persist
Making it hard to resist;
With a weakness in a flaw,
Causes us to break the law.
So the battle rages on,
Till the desires are gone;
Of desires that you feel,
Finally loosing their zeal.
It is up to you to obey,
The Law of Moses each day;
Resisting temptation might,
Help the Spirit in your fight.
