Keeping God First
Yes, we are so vain,
As we brag again;
It is such a crime,
Boastful all the time.
It is God we cheat,
With our conceit;
Nothing but self love,
In showing thereof.
You are taking pride,
That is deep inside;
To be number one,
Rather than His Son.
We need to be meek,
The Lord you should seek;
Always be humble,
Not gripe or grumble.
So go and proclaim,
As you praise His name,
If you keep Him first,
You will never thirst.
