Farseeing ii

Farseeing ii

She sang a spell of farseeing
Across her scrying bowl
She sang the words tightly
To keep that spell whole
And she peered in the water
Waiting for truth to appear
Water that milkily clouded
And then shone bright clear

She peered across the distance
Formed by centuries of years
Peered with a detached horror
Through a veil of uncalled tears
As she saw the Mother ruined
Saw Gaia's desperate plight
Reeling from the damage
Reeling from pollution's blight

She sang a further seeing spell
Pushed the range to extreme
Until the waters clouded
At the end of her time stream
She cast away the water
In a state of despair
The water's clouding telling
Gaia was maybe no longer there

She cast a spell of farseeing
Searching every single day
For an alternate future
For a possible better way
But deep down in her heart
She sadly instinctively knew
That her visions of that despair
Would near certainly come true

She smashed her scrying bowl
Made a seal against her spell
So that even if she weakened
It could no longer be used to tell
And she lived her life onward
But sometimes deep in dread
With that terrible farseeing
Locked away in her head
