Looking out across the land, thinking of how beautiful this Country really is and wondering over the years everything that has happened and why it turned out the way it did. From World War I that they remember as the Great War. Then on December 7,1941 the Japanese came over and bombed Pearl Harbor shortly after that World War II started which was the war to end all wars. One of the most recent is the Desert Storm also known as the Persian Gulf War.
If you listen closely you can still hear the echoing of the Liberty Bell and the price that it costs to be free. Even though the World Trade Center Towers had collapsed, because of the terrorist
attack on September 11,2001 the Statue of Liberty still stands tall in the hearts of what we believe. If that was not enough lives lost, about two months after the terrorists attack, a plane had engine failure and went down a couple of minutes after take off at JFK Airport in New York.
As the sun slowly starts going down I looked up and saw an eagle flying over the horizon. Just then I realized all that the stars and stripes on our flag stand for.
