Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
My Sacrifice
All becomes frivolous folly as I sacrifice
the fertility of my imagination to the
ethereal mists of celestially inspired theory.
My superior intelligence is laid upon the cold
alter of intellectual myth and superfluous thought.
All creativity and substance are stripped bare upon
the shining black stones of unrestrained knowledge.
Causing me to swallow the bitter pill of science's
irrational and unproven theories on life.
