Wood Nymph

For the Last Time

in loving memory of Thomas Polk

Friends followed his black limousine.
For the last time he passed his home.
Soft sobbing, hearts breaking, disbelief,
our loved one of many years is now gone.
He was the Community's cornerstone,
always giving a helping hand.
Now all we have is precious memories
of this quiet and gentle man.

Life will become more fragile.
Memories of him will remain clear.
His death is now just a crossroad
for we will soon follow him there.
