I took a walk
Long ago
Looking for a life
With nowhere to go


No self esteem
Just a lot of shame
Yet no one else
But myself to blame


When I was young
Just alcohol and drugs
All my friends
Were gangsters and thugs


I had to get out
There was no more fun
Most of the guys
Were packing a gun


Next stop the joint
Filing down a spoon
Making a knife
So you wouldn't die too soon


Yet any one
That has a brain
Knows It's a one way ticket
On a runaway train.
