thirst impressions

she sipped he cappuccino
just a delicate little sip
and I fell madly in love
with the froth on her lip

I didn't tell her about it
was pleased with what I saw
for it humanised that beauty
I'd regarded with such awe

it made her look so human
this woman loved from afar
that I sat passionately ogling
across that trendy coffee bar

she removed it with a wipe
when told by her friend
and suddenly I found
my love came to an end

I'd loved her for that blemish
thought maybe she was the one
now just another beauty
with that blemish gone

I finished my expresso
and with a little sigh
I left that coffee bar
bidding her goodbye

she'd sipped he cappuccino
just a delicate little sip
and I'd fallen in love
with the froth on her lip
