Smell The Roses

rose gardens photo: Rose and Ladybug DSC00267.jpg

Memories of Grandma singing
Trees swinging
"I come to the garden alone"
Sang all the way home

"While the dew"
"Is still on the roses"
Hours so few
Smell before the door closes

Splendid treasures
Delightful pleasures
Sun Power
Blooming flowers

Walk in the park
Just before dark
Butterflies there
Trails everywhere

Scent of mowed lawn
Still fresh at dawn
Silent sneeze
Slight breeze

Robins on the stair
Lovely pair
Such a thrill
Smiling daffodil

Beetle bugs
Simply shrug
Buzzing bumblebee
Humming with glee

Ripples in the pond
Swans beyond
Leaping frogs
No fog
