Hear and Obey
You should be quick to hear,
But to be slow to speak;
For the one thing I fear,
Is the wrong path you seek.
You anger very fast,
And keep jumping the gun;
As you dwell in the past,
After over and done.
You seek earthly pleasure,
Everything you do;
Building wealthy treasure,
And can not take with you.
As you do your own thing,
Not as what God has said;
But immorally cling,
To the evils instead.
Hear the Word and obey,
Heeding as it's written;
Following not to stray,
Before death has bitten.
