A Prayer to Christ
Every time I think of You,
I thank God of the true value;
Exactly what You mean to me,
With the insight that I may see.
Because of You, Lord Jesus Christ,
Who on the cross was sacrificed;
To save me of a sinful life,
And that is filled with evil strife.
As Your will has shown me the way,
To follow through every day;
Your Word is there with me to guide,
For as long as I still abide.
In return I will spread Your Word,
Everything I read and heard;
As I await for Your return,
The day that I patiently yearn.
You have a place within my heart,
Holding Your Word I do impart;
And with all the love that pours out,
Will drown all of the seeds of doubt.
