A DAY AT THE SEASIDE

A DAY AT THE SEASIDE

The roar is loud as the tide rushes in
Children`s squeals can be heard over the din,
Surf boards poised to ride the crest of the wave
They only stand up if they are brave.

On the horizon boats are dotted there
But here on the beach children play without care,
Surf boards, body boards, flat boards and rings
All of these and more the sunshine brings.

Sandcastles as far as the eye can see
Busy children as happy as can be,
Some building walls to stop the incoming tide
It`s no good, but you can`t say they never tried.

The beach is a playground for everyone
Or just tan in the sun `til you are done,
It`s holiday time so come and relax
Forget the office, telephone and fax.
