 Elsie`s Poetry

The heart slows down without a doubt
It will no longer sing and shout,
The eyes don`t meet and speak of love
There`s no passion there to speak of.

No tender touch to light the flames
No more love or playing night games,
Now just a peck upon the cheek
The warmth has turned to something bleak.

What happened to the sidewards glance
That always made you take a chance?
Now love lies dormant that`s for sure
Love makings` gone there`ll be no more.

Everything`s changed, nothing`s the same
A dying love can cause such pain,
All the colours lose their shades
This is what happens when love fades.
