 I Was There

I Was There

When man was created
And he breathed his first breath
When he gave in to temptation
And he doomed all men to death

When Cain killed Abel
Acting as if he didn't care
I saw everything
I should know, I was there

When Noah built the ark
When the land it was still dry
His neighbors they all laughed
Until the rains came from the sky

When his family waited out
Amongst the animals including bears
I saw everything
I should know, I was there

When Moses led the people
From the bondages of chains
And led them through the desert
They all thought he was insane

When he went up on that mountain
And he came down with white hair
I saw everything
I should know, I was there

When the Son of God was hanging
High up there on that cross
Suffering such great agony
For all those who are lost

When He cried out to the father
Forgive them for they do not see
I saw everything
I should know, cause it was me

I was there with my Father
I was there by His side
I was there with the Spirit
It was me they crucified

I am the beginning
And I am the end
The Father, Son and Spirit
We all three are present

When you're feeling tired and lonely
And your burdens weigh you down
When your everyday living
Seems to only bring you frowns

When you feel like giving up
Because you feel that no one cares
I see everything
Please don't worry, cause I'll be there

I am with the Father
I am by His side
I am with the Spirit
It is us that's glorified

We are the beginning
And we are the end
The Father, Son and Spirit
All your troubles we will mend
