Dedicated my Mum.Title.. Who`s That Little Old Lady In That Hospital Bed.
By Bob William Raisbeck
Who`s that little old lady in that hospital bed
With tubes coming from her and wires from her head
She wasn`t always so small weak and frail
She once was proud strong and kicked our tail
She raised six children and two husbands as well
She was happy and loving of this I can tell
With here second husband Harold to Queensland she came
To enjoy the life style of sun humidity and rain
She lived a good life with hubby number two
She had a pool to swim in and palm trees grew
Then tragedy in the name of cancer
It took away here dreams and here loving dancer
She loved her bingo and won a sum or two
But she was lonely,, a boy friend will do
So she lived with her friend and as years passed by
She was happy and loving and didn`t need to cry
But fate has a way of being.................. bad
IT took away her boy friend and made here sad
But the years had taken their toll and made here ill
The doctor prescribed her to take her Pill
But the pain increased and no respite she got
This was life`s future this was her lot
So to Melbourne with the rest of her children to stay
Until our lord does came to her and say
Now it is time Mavis to lose your pain
Come to my kingdom and live again..
