As a Good Shepherd
I hope to encourage you,
To always remain true;
Watching your flock by night,
Remaining safe from fright.
As a shepherd watch the sheep,
Vigilant not to sleep;
To watch over each one,
Till dawning of the sun.
God placed them in your care,
That a wolf even dare;
To steal one from the flock,
While standing firm as a rock.
Just as with Jesus Christ,
Your life be sacrificed;
All remain safe at any cost,
And no sheep to be lost.
So as a leader of the church,
It is you the sheep search,
On guard and stay awake,
Your flock never forsake.
