The world was blessed
Back in 56
When a true legend was born
We knew that moment
He would be potent
And the girls would all adorn
God's gift to women
He was the reason
That women all had smiles
And still this day
They all still say
This legend he has style
Legend in his own time
Legend in his own mind
The King is here to stay
God's gift to women
God's gift from heaven
He showed us how to play
He is the master
His ways are faster
There is no better find
God's gift to women
His name is Marvin
A legend in his own time
But now he's married
And girls are worried
They'll never ever win
But they rejoice
He has two boys
They may be just like him
Legend in his own time
