The Wonders of God
Heaven says the wonders of God,
And why we should honor and laud;
The sky declares what He has done,
As of whence that time had begun.
Each day informs the day after,
Brightly from a sun in amber;
And likewise along with each night,
Via the glistening moonlight.
Never shall be a sound be heard,
For they will never speak a word;
Neither will they utter a voice,
But the twinkling of stars rejoice.
A messenger travels the earth,
As the dawn of each day gives birth;
And the sun rises like a groom,
Chasing away a nightly gloom.
The goodness of His Laws control,
Even that of nature's own soul;
As everything will obey,
Our Lord God both night and day.
