An Eternal Covenant

The Law of Moses only promised death,
After we have taken our last breath;
There was just no way for us to atone,
Seeing how God had etched it all in stone.

It was given in a wonderful way,
Making Moses face shine brighter than day;
And the Hebrew people were so afraid,
Even though the glory started to fade.

If a death sentence is so glorious,
Then winning over death is victorious;
So a new covenant through Jesus Christ,
Given to us when He was sacrificed.

And what Jesus Christ had done when He gave,
Was a new avenue for us to pave;
Allowing us in going to Heaven,
When all of our sins are forgiven.

And if we really do firmly believe,
Then eternal life we surely receive;
We will be finally allowed to go,
To the location where all blessings flow.
