God's On the Throne Did you ever stop and think
of the pain our Savior bore
Or the spear that pierced His side
or the crown of thorns He wore
The blood that stained that hill
we call Mount Calvary
How He died there for our sins
what a price to set us free
I want to stand up in His presence
and thank the Lord for all He's done
I want to bow down on my knees
He paid the debt, the victory's won
And when I stand before my Father
He'll welcome me forever home
I'll walk with Jesus Christ my Savior
Never again no more alone
I think of the weight of that old cross
so heavy upon my Lord
Of the soldier in disbelief
as he pierced Him with the sword
I can see Mary, Jesus mother
witness her son as He died
Nothing could she do
as she hang her head and cried
The angels up in Heaven
did not sing a victory song
For what man kind had done
it was all so very wrong
But I will stand up in His presence
and thank the Lord for all He's done
I will bow down on my knees
He paid the debt, the victory's won
And when I stand before my Father
He'll welcome me forever home
I'll walk with Jesus Christ my Savior
Forever more God's on the throne.
