Another soldier, another war

He won't be coming home no more
just another soldier… another war.
He was bright and cheerful, he was always there
but now he's gone and our lives are bare.
Just another soldier in another war
it is us the loved ones that still keep score.
We hold our memories safe inside
that dark dark place where hope has died.
