God's not allowed in my school!
Before my daughter left for school today, I was asked as she was walked toward the door!
Daddy Why is God not allowed in my school? And what are the three R's for?
I replied reading,writing and arithmetic! That's what the three R's are for.
Then why don't any of those start with the letter R...?
"It about put me on the floor!"
Honey I don't really know why, for many years that's just the way it's been!
Well what about God? I love him so much! why won't my teachers let him in?
God is with us all the time, even though others just can't see the light!
But why can't I just say my prayers in class? Daddy it just don't seem right.
There are some things in this world that will never change, So we might as well not even try.
If that's true then Why did God give his only son? Why did Jesus have to die?
I guess you are right Jesus was only one man and he changed the world in many ways
And even being subjected to death on a cross, He still gave his father praise!
Then out the door she went, with her bible clutched in her hand! Daddy I'll Just make them listen! they'll have to understand!
When she came home from school later that day, she just went straight to her room and cried!
She said she had told her friend's about God and explained why Jesus died!
Daddy they all laughed at me! I felt embarrassed, It was like they didn't care!
Honey that's called persecution, for we all have our cross to bare.
Then she looked at me with tear filled eyes, and a lump was in her throat!
she bowed her head as if ashamed, and handed me a note.
The note said your child has been expelled for teaching children about God in our school hall!
I smiled at her and said let's get a nice frame for this note and hang it on our living room wall!
She said daddy aren't you mad at me? The School won't let me in!
I replied they won't let God in either, look at the company your in!
Honey we will find you a new school, and I am proud to see that at least you tried!
And I think maybe even I now understand, why Jesus Christ had died!
P.S. Don't stand idle! Go to your local legislators One person can make a difference!
(Many can make a change!)
PUT PRAYER BACK IN OUR SCHOOLS!
