The Land Of RainbowsI heard talk of New Zealand They said it`s always wet No-one told me of the things That I will not forget How green the grass, how blue the sky The rainbows without end The gleaming sun upon the trees Such beauty here my friend This is the land of rainbows A place for pots of gold And wishes on the rainbows To stop you growing old The flowers seem much brighter Than any place I`ve been A land so full of colour The rain, and then sunbeam Funny how some people Can only see the rain And never seem to notice The sun come out again Water is the source of life The Kiwis know it`s so Barefoot they wander smiling At every new rainbow In the sun they have their fun And never mind the rain This is the land of rainbows And I`ll come back again I shall pluck a picture From corners of my mind And then I will remember The rainbows I did find In the land of rainbows Where people don`t complain Because they know the sun comes out And rainbows follow rain Vote for this poem |
