The Silent One
i awoke from a dream i was drenched and so confused by what i saw trying to make some sense of what it was the awareness began to show itself horror of an evil one telling me his lies and expressing his love for me all the while a silent one stood watching with tears in his eyes false tears in the evil ones eyes saying he couldnt live without me he had loved me all his life needed me my confusion deepened was it true blinded again by his lies i fell into his trap losing my battle once more all the while a silent one stood watching with tears in his eyes i watched the silent one knowing my heart was so confused by its feelings knowing i had given in to the wrong one leaving the silent one hurting him so as i awakened from my dream tears and shame filled my mind what had i done all the while a silent one stood watching with tears in his eyes my dream seemed so real i didnt understand what i was seeing at the time deep within i knew why i had betrayed the silent one could he ever forgive i never understood what love was the evil one showed me his by evil ways all the while a silent one stood watching with tears in his eyes many years passed before i finally learned what love really meant now i knew had i lost my only true love or was there a chance of having my life returned to learn too late for the one who really mattered was a hard pill to swallow all the while a silent one stood watching with tears in his eyes Vote for this poem
