Doing Good
Christ our Savior has shown,
That we do not have to moan;
On how things are here on earth,
You need to show your true worth.
Merely think how good and kind,
How Jesus Christ can ease the mind;
His mercy victory won,
Not just good things He had done.
God washed us with the Spirit,
For power to inherit;
And giving us a clean heart,
For rebirth and a fresh start.
God sent Christ His only Son,
Able to get the job done;
So the Spirit clears the path,
Making way before the wrath.
We do have a lot of nerve,
Because we do not deserve;
In giving us so much hope,
And not hanging from a rope.
