HABITUAL BOREDOM

This is written for two people who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are!

HABITUAL BOREDOM

The day is done and here we are again
I sigh and hope I do not go insane,
It`s the same routine day in and day out
My nerve ends are raw I feel I could shout.

You have a packet of crisps without fail
It`s enough to make me want to wail,
You sit and eat them in a world of your own
I think this must be your comfort zone.

I wish you`d eat something else for a change
Tho` breaking the monotony would be strange,
I know exactly what you will do next
This leaves me feeling extremely vexed.

T.V. control box poised then off you go
Your finger batters the button and so
I try to catch a programme or two
But you flick so fast it is hard to do.

Your flicking makes my eyes roll round my head
So now I think it`s time I went to bed,
I know what I can expect tomorrow night
Much of the same which is not to my delight.
