Christmas DayChristmas time is finally here Such a wondrous time of year Spreading hope for those in need Helping people with your deeds Singing songs like Silent Night Christmas trees with pretty lights Children singing songs of joy A special time for girls and boys Spreading peace around the world To the rich and to the poor Spending time with those you love Praising God from up above For the birth of His own son He's the reason; He's the one Why we Christians celebrate We don't do it to decorate He came to earth a little child To lead us all from sin's exile He came to earth that Christmas Day We need to share in every way The message of that special birth It has great value; it has great worth The world is lost; it's lost its way It needs the hope of Christmas Day Copyright ©2007 Marvin H Lane Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
