It's Time To Deliver
(This piece is not written about me. It just came to my head.)
It's time to deliver
Make good on your word
I cried you a river
My voice went unheard
You promised a lifetime
Of unbridled love
But I'm feeling blind
I flinch by your touch
We two have been married
So many years
These burdens I've carried
And cried many tears
My patience is thinning
I've now drawn the line
The end is beginning
Please make up your mind
It's time to deliver
The promise you made
I need to forgive her
Been cut by her blade
You've played many games
But I've had enough
I'm losing the flame
Of what we called love
