Offer me Redemption

Will you offer me redemption
If I fall now to my knees…
If I crawl along a stony path
just to beg you ‘please'?
Will you offer me redemption
If I bow my head in praise…?
scared to be the man I am
the man that God had made.
Will you offer me redemption
If I watch my children cry…
If I kiss them sweetly long farewell
as they go to war to die?
Will you offer me redemption
If I will not hold your hand?
for religion to me is a history
that God would not have planned!

Believing in God does not mean you have to be religious,
every road is just a pathway to the same end.
Religion also does not mean you are a good person
if you follow the rules. These are man made rules.
If you want to be good… then so be it!
