 Day at the Park (Lyric)

Day At The Park (Lyric)

I see two sweethearts holding hands
I see love in their hearts
Oblivious to what's around them
As they walk through the park
I think back when I was that young
Not a care in the world
I remember being in love
With one special young girl

Those days have come; gone by so quick
Just memories in my mind
I wish I could reach my hands out
Unwind the hands of time
I was naive so full of life
I let love slip away
Now as I sit here in the park
I regret all those days

A day at the park/ with a broken heart
Reliving my past/ life goes by too fast
Too many regrets/ can never forget
The memories they spark/ the days at the park

I see children playing their games
As they seek those who hid
Oh how I loved those special days
The fun being a kid
I watch as they play on the bars
So happy and carefree
They don't have a care in the world
Well that used to be me

I could have had more fun in life
I could have had more friends
But I chose to harden my heart
A message I did send
So now I sit and watch the lives
Of what I used to be
I close my eyes to dream again
A smile is what I seek

A day at the park/ with a broken heart
Reliving my past/ life goes by too fast
Too many regrets/ can never forget
The memories they spark/ the days at the park
