Spreading Christmas CheerSuch a wonderful time of the year, Family and friends bringing good cheer; Coming just nearby or from afar, Flown in by plane or driven by car. Oh what joys that everyone brings, The Christmas carols that each one sings; Eating fruit cake and drinking eggnog, By the fireplace a burning log. But we remember those far away, That can not be with us Christmas day; Those in Afghanistan and Iraq, And in hospitals that can not walk. Likely for some it seems like the end, Not near any family or friend; And they are at the end of their rope, For they have lost all possible hope. Merely remember in time of prayer, Having thoughts of them for God to share; And conveying to them thoughts thereof, Passing to them spiritual love.
